Jamil Richards

Jamil D. Richards (widely known as Prophet Jamil Richards) is a visionary leader, educator, and pastor devoted to awakening purpose and equipping people to walk boldly in their God-given calling. He is the Founder and Senior Pastor of Disciple Makers Church International, and the Founder and President of JDR Global Enterprises—a dynamic conglomerate encompassing multiple ventures in education, community outreach, real estate, and media, including film and creative productions.

 

Through JDR Global, Prophet Richards is building systems and platforms that empower individuals and organizations to operate with excellence, integrity, and Kingdom influence across every sphere of society.

With a deep passion for faith-based education, he also serves as the Founder and Principal of Next Generation Preparatory Academy and Owner of a college extension program, where he cultivates academic excellence grounded in biblical principles and character development.

 

His innovative approach to Christian education bridges the gap between ministry and marketplace, raising up young leaders who are both spiritually grounded and academically equipped to shape culture.

 

A prolific author and emerging voice of this generation, Prophet Richards is the writer of Embrace Your Call and the forthcoming titles Wake Up and Build It and Distracted No More, all part of his Awakening Series—a movement designed to reignite spiritual passion and restore divine order in the lives of believers.

Through public appearances on platforms like The Word Network, Prophet Richards has taken his message across South Florida and the East Coast of the United States, spreading the love and teachings of Jesus Christ. He is the recipient of the 2021 Providence Award for Outstanding Contribution and Exceptional Leadership to the Kingdom of God and the 2024 “40 Under 40” Legacy Magazine Award, which was featured in both the Sun Sentinel and Miami Herald.

With great aspirations to serve his community, Prophet Richards also ran for Hollywood, Florida’s District 6 City Commissioner in November 2024, exemplifying servant leadership, visionary thinking, and a heart dedicated to impacting lives in the name of Christ.

His favorite scripture and guiding principle comes from Matthew 6:33 (KJV) — “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” This verse remains the foundation of his life, ministry, and mission to awaken, equip, and build for the glory of God.
